How we can help churches

Having churches fully involved in the work of mission has always been crucial to the work, and brings blessing to both those on the front-line of mission work and those supporting them in prayer and giving. But developing and maintaining an active interest in mission in a church can be a challenge, particularly if the work is distant and the missionaries are not well-known to everyone. We'd love to help your church develop closer interests in mission. Below are a few ways in which we can help:

Partnership in the Gospel between missionaries and supporters is at the heart of EMF's work. The most fruitful and supportive partnerships come about when a church forms a partnership in mission with a particular missionary or missionary family.

We provide simple informative prayer guides which can easily be shared as part of a prayer meeting:

The easiest way to get to know some of our missionaries and their work is to watch the short video clips we make in our Meet our Missionaries series. Why not show one of these at your prayer meeting?

We can arrange for an EMF missionary or member of staff to lead or participate in your church meeting. This can be face-to-face or over a conference call

Since the Covid-19 pandemic we have hosted a number of webinars which have proved very informative and popular - a great way to find out more about the work of mission and engage directly with mission workers on the front line.

We can also host seminars or webinars for church leaders (for example, in a fraternal group), with in-depth information about the gospel in Europe.

Please contact our Northern Ireland Representative, Phil Dunn, or our Church Partnership Coordinator, Martin Tatham, if you would like any further information on these.
