Your privacy is important to us.  We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of your information.

Why do we collect and use your information?

The information you provide about yourself will be used to enable us to serve the mission fellowship, across supporting churches and individuals to mission partners, which may include:

What is the basis for our use of your data?

We are collecting this information for one or both of the following reasons:

  1. Because you have requested us to keep you,and/or your church informed about the activities of the Mission Fellowship or the activities it supports. We will only use your information to send you the information you requested or consented to receive. Your contact details will be removed from the database once you indicate that you no longer wish to receive updates, or no longer act as the point of contact for your church, or
  2. Because you have made a personal donation towards the work of the mission. In this case, European Mission Fellowship has a legitimate interest to use your personal information for maintaining appropriate financial records.

What categories of information do we collect?

We may collect and hold the following types of data, depending on the nature of our interactions with you:-

Storing your data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.  
We hold your data for varying lengths of time depending on the type of information in question but in doing so we always comply with Data Protection legislation.  Details of retention periods are available in our retention policy which you can request by contacting us at operations@europeanmission.org.  

Security of your data

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.  In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees or trustees who need to know.  They will only process your personal data on our instructions.   
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and the ICO where we are legally required to do so.

Who do we share your information with?

If you have opted to receive the Vision magazine by post,then it is necessary for us to share your name and address with our distributors. We, and our distributors, will not share your information with other third parties without your consent unless the law requires us to do so.
