Europe is now the least evangelized continent on earth. It’s estimated that fewer than 2.5% of the population are Bible-believing Christians. The outward marks of established Christian traditions hide the fact that so many need to hear the gospel of grace.
As winter sets in again over war-torn Ukraine, we once again appeal to supporters to give to the work. In the video, a number of EMF gospel workers from Ukraine talk about their situation and changing needs they are seeking to address.
Interview with EMF missionary and Ukrainian army chaplain Vitalii Mariash. In this interview, recorded for the EMF GB Autumn conferences, Vitalii talks to Martin Tatham about his experience on the front line as a Ukrainian army chaplain, and how he sees the smiling face of the Lord behind a frowning providence.
Christians sometimes have spoken of how everyone has a way of understanding and living in the world. Scholars also have explained how frames of references shape our assumptions about, and approaches to, what we believe about the world. We may tend to be ‘romantic’, seeing the world as fallen from a better past; or enlightenment thinkers, believing in progress to better things; or we may see things going in circles, so that what goes around comes around. For the Christian, however, none of these quite convince. Find out more and see video of EMF webinar with Sharon James by clicking button.

EMF is 65! The Scottish evangelist James Stewart must have been amazed and humbled when the Lord abundantly blessed his evangelistic efforts in many European countries last century. Could he have foreseen that the UK branch of his mission organisation would still be operating today, with over 100 workers in 20 countries? We asked a small selection of older ‘EMF-ers’ to share a few of their memories of these six and a half decades… How good is the God we adore!
EMF have crossed a threshold - 100 missionaries in 20 countries! With the latest new missionaries taken on with the blessing of the EMF trustees, the total number of current EMF missionaries has now passed the 100 landmark. One of the new missionaries, Viktorio Antonovski, is from North Macedonia, a Balkan nation – in line with our 'Lighting up the Darkness' initiative – and a country where we've not had missionaries before, taking the total number of 'EMF countries' to 20. All of this is exciting, and fills us with a sense of gratitude to the Lord for leading us to the right people at the right time, and for making it possible, through the commitment and generosity of his people, for us to support more gospel workers making disciples in more and more needy places across Europe. Andrew Birch tells us more ...
It’s only fifteen minutes a week, but wouldn’t you love to have fifteen minutes a week to share the gospel on national television? For many years now, the Spanish channel TVE2 has allowed Evangelicals, Catholics, Muslims, and Jews to have a slot each Sunday. An EMF missionary in central Spain tells us about what it’s like to be a witness for Christ to a large TV audience.

As we look on in horror at the events unfolding in Ukraine and weep with its citizens, hundreds of thousands of refugees are fleeing to neighbouring countries. Many pastors have chosen to stay at their posts despite the danger, to care for the traumatised and terrified people who remain. The situation is deteriorating rapidly so there is an urgent need for God’s people here and across the world to intercede. Click on link to find out more on how to pray for Ukraine.
