EMF missionary Stefano Mariotti, along with 24 other Italian pastors have joined together in an evangelistic video event, organised by the Italian Christian publishing house Coram Deo. Each day, from 1st until 25th December they will present a evangelistic meditation on the theme of Christmas taken from John Piper's book 'Good News of Great Joy: 25 Devotional Readings for Advent'. ‘Tent-Making’ in Germany! Tim and Deb Brooks have been in Utzenfeld for over twenty years now, and run Haus Barnabas, a Christian guest house. Utzenfeld is a small village in the Black Forest area of Germany, with a little over 600 people living there; the area is predominately Roman Catholic. The title for this year’s ‘Theological Days’ event run by the IFED organisation based in Padua was ‘Prayer, this unknown’ (La preghiera, questa sconosciuta). This was essentially a two-day conference, held on 10th and 11th September 2021, exploring the great theme and many aspects of prayer. Manuel López Franco and the church in Almuñécar, Spain, are about to renew their radio outreach project. This is just one of their evangelistic initiatives, but since COVID-19 it has become a key ministry. Pray that God will bless this ministry so that many people from Almuñécar and the surrounding area will put their trust in Christ.
José Moreno Berrocal is a prolific author and his latest book, 'In the Day I Fear', has just been published. This book is on a subject that has been on José's heart for some time, the fear of God, but he has presented it in a certain context. This book explores how there is only one fear that conquers every other fear - the fear of the Lord.
EMF missionaries Stefano and Jenny Mariotti translated Stuart Olyott's book, 'Preaching: Pure and Simple' a number of years ago. Stefano finds it very useful for discipling and training of young men in his church in Budrio, Italy. Funds have been found to publish the book in Italian with the Coram Deo publishing house and we are pleased to announce that the Italian version of the book has now been published.
EMF missionaries Antonis and Viki Topaloglou are opening a new coffee shop called Moses Cafe on their premises at the Kipseli Community Centre. The idea is to use this as a means for outreach to the local community.
EMF missionary, Rogério Ramos, serving in the evangelical church in Sines, Portugal, is launching a mini theology school online via Zoom. The seminars are being run twice a month. The school is reaching people not only in Portugal but also in Brazil and Angola.
