We see it as vital to train gifted leaders. This is key to the future of the church in Europe. Since 1964, European Mission Fellowship has trained many gifted men and women who are passionate about the Gospel, and about serving the church and reaching their countries and people. It is our conviction that Europe needs missionaries who know the gospel, speak the gospel and place their confidence in the gospel. We aspire to train Christians of faith and character. We want to see the Holy Spirit shaping and moulding them through the Word of God.
Until 2018, EMF ran a School of Biblical Studies and many people, including most of the current EMF missionaries were greatly helped by the training this provided.
The fund has the objective of training of men and women called to mission work among European (non-UK) people. This training would make use of external Bible-based training colleges or seminaries, which share EMF’s basis of faith, reflecting historical evangelical Christianity. EMF does not run its own Bible courses. Those chosen to be supported by the fund would need to have a strong sense of calling to the European mission field.
