Evangelos pastors an evangelical church in Patra, which he and Georgia helped to plant in 1984.
Evangelos was born into a Greek Orthodox family in Piræus. Soon after his marriage to Georgia, he heard the Gospel and came to faith. Several months later, observing the change in her husband’s life, and in answer to his prayers, Georgia was also converted.
Evangelos studied at the Greek Bible Institute in Athens for two years. There, he met a Greek pastor who put him in touch with EMF. In 1983, with their two children, Eugenie and Dimitrios, Evangelos and Georgia came to the UK to study with EMF. Late in 1984, they moved to Patra to plant a church. The church is still small, but has been sustained by God’s grace year upon year. Despite the economic crisis, the church recently relocated to larger premises.
Pray for Patra and the growth of the church.
