Anatoly has served as pastor of the evangelical church in the town of Berezhany, in Ternopil region, since 2012, which he and his wife Olena helped to plant. Since the start of the full scale invasion, many displaced people have joined the church. But without support from EMF, Anatoly would not be able to dedicate himself to the work of ministry.

I was born in 1977 in Dubno, Rivne region, in a family where faith in God is a great value. In 1996, I dedicated my life to serving the Lord, realizing my sinfulness and repenting before the Creator. In the same year, I was baptized by faith.

From 1998 to 2006, I served as a youth leader in the local church in Dubno. During this time, I organized various youth events.

In 2011, I got married, and together with my wife, we moved to Berezhany, Ternopil region, to organize a new church. Together with my wife, we are raising three children – Dianochka, Martusia, and Zlatka.

Since the end of 2012, I have been publishing a Christian newspaper, "Word about the Word," acting as the editor and being responsible for its publication. In February 2018, I was ordained to pastoral ministry.

Since the beginning of the war in February 2022, our church and family have actively helped people who were forced to leave their homes. In two weeks, we were able to provide temporary shelter to more than 150 people, supplying them with food and accommodation. Most of them continued their journey to the West.

Since March 2022, people have been coming to us mainly from the Zaporizhzhia region, where my wife is from, and we had to find them long-term housing. Most of those who arrived then are still living in our city, and our church takes care of them. We managed to settle more than 90 people who have lived in Berezhany for over 2 years. Some returned to Zaporizhzhia, some went to Germany, but some remain here. We try to help these people as much as we can. They attend services and participate in church activities. We helped not only to find housing but also to make small repairs, as most houses had been uninhabited for many years.

We pray for the war to end as soon as possible, for our people to draw closer to God, for wounds to heal, and for the Lord to wipe away the tears of those who have suffered terrible losses. We pray for the church to be a place of healing. We thank your mission for extending a helping hand to us. May the Lord bless your ministry.
