Liudmyla (or Liuda for short), is married to EMF Missionary Vitalii Mariash who is currently serving on the front line as an army chaplain. They have 2 children, Marianna and Mark.

Liuda serves the Lord tirelessly in many ways, not least of which is as a godly mother to the children. She also works part-time in Kyiv Theological Seminary, and has been playing a key role in the work of the church in ministering to both local and displaced people in Kyiv. She was in charge of all the winter supplies needed to help people stay warm with all the black-outs (and helped EMF supply tens of thousands of blankets to people around Ukraine in 2022-3).

More recently her focus has been leading a group of military wives, widows and mothers. She says "This is an opportunity where we support women and share the Gospel of Christ with them. Although it sounds sad, the suffering and pain caused by the war opened wide doors for the preaching of the Good News. We pray that God will continue to open human hearts to people."
