Olena is the mother of 3 teenage children, living near the town of Makariv. Soon after the Russian invasion on 24th February 2023, the Russian troops took over the town, and came house to house, looking for young women. The family escaped with only a few hours to spare, along with other members of their church. But many others in the area did not escape. Olena tells of what happened in the neighbourhood.
