Jose Moreno: A prolific author

2/2/2021

“Prolific author” is how the digital newspaper eldiario.es has recently described EMF worker José Moreno in its edition for the Spanish region of Castilla-La Mancha.

Focusing first of all on José’s 2014 book: 50 años de la muerte de C. S. Lewis. El legado de Las Crónicas de Narnia (50 years after the death of C.S.Lewis. The legacy of the Chronices of Narnia), the newspaper goes on to present the writer’s penultimate work 'La Biblia del Siglo de Oro español', an account of the life and labours of the great Spanish 16th century theologian and Bible translator Casiodoro de Reina.

José Moreno (known to many of us as “Pepe”) has published yet another book since the above news article was published. En el Día que Temo (When I am afraid)  is a short, “easy-to-read” book which, according to the publishers, has been written to help those who are facing fear-producing situations, pointing them to the “only fear which conquers every other: the fear of the Lord”.

We can thank the Lord that the regional secular press has been recommending the work of José Moreno, trusting that a good number of non-Christians will go on to read the message that Lewis and Casiodoro de Reina laboured so hard to spread. We could also pray that the encouraging words of this EMF missionary’s latest work will comfort many hearts that are bound by fear in these troubled times.
