Norway

Norway is a beautiful, mountainous, fjord-indented country.

On January 1 2017, the Protestant Church of Norway officially became an independent legal entity. Now the Church can appoint bishops independently of the government, and pastors are no longer employed by the government. Only 24% of Norwegians consider religion an important part of their lives, with the younger generation much less committed to Christianity and more open to other ideas. Pray that the roots of Norway’s rich Christian past would be re-established.
