Alex is the pastor of the reformed Baptist church in Nisporeni, in the west central region of Moldova. He is married to Nina, and they have three children, two boys named Teodor and Gabriel, and a baby girl named Elena.

He was born in a non-Christian family, although his maternal grandparents were believers. Later on, his mother was converted, followed by his father several years later. Alex himself came to faith as a young boy, in the year 2000, and was baptized in 2006.

Nina was also born in a non-Christian family, but came to faith through Christian camps that were organized by the local church, and later her parents, sister, and two brothers were also converted and added to the local church.

Alex and Nina met in 2007 and were married in 2013.

Both studied foreign languages in university and were planning to be interpreters/translators. However, the Lord had something else in store for them. Alex felt the call to ministry in 2017, and after a period he was confirmed and ordained in June 2018.

The church Alex is pastoring is in a town of about 9000 people. The population is strongly Eastern Orthodox, with only two evangelical churches. Even though the perception of the locals to evangelicals has changed for the better in recent years, there is still a much-felt opposition to the gospel.

There is a great need for sound teaching in evangelical churches, and a great need to proclaim the gospel with boldness.
