Rafael and Lidiane Ribas were taken on as part of EMF's 'Lighting up the Darkness' initiative

Rafael says:

'Dear brothers and sisters, may the peace and salvation of our God always be upon each one of you.

We are in a very important moment for our church plant; first of all it was long years working on what the Gospel is; it was 59 weeks on the Gospel of John! Now all our focus is on the implications of the Gospel, mainly in the Family!

This new series on families for the glory of God does not focus on family happiness, but on family happiness for the glory of God, which consists of families who live in the fear of the Lord, enjoying the fruits of this fear, which is happiness in the love of the Lord, love for one another, and love for the Church and its mssion!

We are focused on that; now we have two services, we have added a midweek prayer service, and we are praying diligently for Revival in every way.

I have had great responsibilities, so I ask for prayers for our family: women's meeting, men's meeting, leadership, church government, compassion ministry prayer meeting, Sunday Service. Everything, absolutely everything that concerns the teaching of these areas is with me, so I am extremely busy: I need grace, anointing, wisdom. In short, I really need Jesus!

Every week I'm totally focused on being able to shepherd like Jesus so that in the future we can have so much health that we can plant more in this needy country! We have a very small country geographically and yes, with the grace of God, we can do much more to the point of Impacting the next generations by providing churches and pastors, I count on you for that!

Another piece of good news is that we started a Free English Teaching Project in our facilities. English is Indispensable to get a good job and our Church is serving the city in this way; pray for that too ... it is a very glorious project!

So, let's all move forward together. Times are bad, the tendency is for the world, the devil and the flesh to cool down our affections and actions for mission, but with us by the grace of our God it will not be like that ... we will advance until the end in the same vigour. God has given us a spirit of courage and power!

In the love of Jesus, the one who gave everything for us ...'

Lidiane adds:

'In relation to my ministry as a pastor's wife, in addition to taking care of my husband, children and the constant visits we receive, I have helped my husband in matters related to women in the church. I have had a lot of weekly counseling with them, because there have been many struggles in their marriages. I've been studying books about it, and praying a lot to God so that the enemy doesn't come to destroy these fragile families. This series of sermons by Pastor Rafael has raised questions that were hidden between couples and that must be answered biblically. It's been a lot of work and tiring. Every day I receive audios and messages from church women!!

But we have testified that God has acted. Pray for us; pray for our church. Thanks!'
