Samuel pastors the Logos Baptist Church in Bydgoszcz and lectures at the Higher Baptist Theological Seminary in Warsaw.
Samuel was born as the first child of formerly active Roman Catholics. When he was one year old, his father became an evangelical pastor, and Samuel grew up immersed in the Gospel, attending Sunday School and Bible camps. Although he prayed a "sinner's prayer" at the age of seven, by his early teens, he recognized the hypocrisy in his life. He wore different masks to fit in at church, with family, at school, and among friends but lacked a personal relationship with Christ.
In the summer of 2005, while preparing to serve at a children’s camp, Samuel realized that he knew about Jesus but didn’t truly know Him. After a Sunday service, he stayed in the chapel to pray, confessing his hypocrisy and asking Jesus to save him. God transformed his heart, giving him new desires for holiness, genuine prayer, and joyful application of the Bible. He was baptized shortly afterward.
Although Samuel initially resisted the idea of becoming a pastor, his calling became evident while leading a university Bible study group. This ministry grew, and he eventually pursued seminary studies, leading to his pastoral ordination in 2017 at First Baptist Church in Warsaw. During this time, Samuel completed his Master’s degree in theology and joined the Higher Baptist Theological Seminary in Warsaw, where he now teaches in the Department of Systematic Theology. He is also involved in the publishing ministry of Word of Truth Publishing, the publishing arm of the Polish Baptist Church Union, and serves as one of the trainers in the Expository Preaching Ministry in Poland.
Dominika’s parents became believers when she was a child, were baptized, and joined the Free Christian Church in Warsaw. They raised Dominika and her sister according to biblical values. Although she always believed in God and the work of Christ, she struggled for a long time to feel assured of her salvation. She lived in fear of death, fully aware of her weaknesses and struggles to maintain spiritual discipline. Torn between a desire to follow God and giving in to temptations, she often felt frustrated and discouraged.
The turning point came when she read Jerry Bridges’ book Transforming Grace. Through it, she realized that salvation wasn’t about her own works but about God’s grace. This understanding transformed her perspective on the Gospel and brought her to true faith and peace in Christ.
Samuel and Dominika were married in 2014, and they have three children: Barbara, Hanna, and Tadeus.
In 2022, after much prayer, Samuel and his family moved to Bydgoszcz, a city of 350,000 people in the northern-central part of Poland, to plant a church built on the New Testament model of plural eldership, faithful expository preaching of the Word of God, and the proclamation of the Gospel—the message of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for God’s glory alone. This message is largely unknown in a city and country that was once strongly Catholic but is now among the fastest secularizing in the world.
