" ‘So what?’
That's one of the points that stuck with me when Dr. Steven Lawson presented a sample expository sermon. After a good introduction and an excellent exposition of the biblical text, one needs to do one's best to ensure that the listeners can as much as possible relate the message of the text to their own lives and challenge them.
Dr. Steven Lawson brilliantly covered the theme of the conference, which was: 'How to preach the Word in our churches.'
He spoke with great competence about expository preaching. More interestingly, he devoted at least three sessions to Q&A closely tied to the conference theme, and here he also exhibited his knowledge and experience. As a pastor of a small flock who preaches almost every Sunday, I really appreciated the time spent at the conference, which was held on November 17 and 18 in Warsaw, Poland."
"It brought together about 200 men from several countries and different churches; Poland, US, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, Moldova, Portugal and the UK were represented. The main participants were pastors and teachers of God's Word, but also people preparing for this ministry and those who support their churches by preaching regularly. "
" Dawid Kozioł and I represented both Legatio and our respective churches."
"Legatio's contribution to the conference was twofold. First, with the help of EMF-supporting friends, we were able to donate Martyn Lloyd-Jones' book 'Preaching and Preachers' to each participant in Polish, English and Russian, for which the conference organizers thanked Legatio at the very beginning. Secondly, in the large lobby - where refreshments were served -there was a place where we and other publishers sold our books. They could be purchased at an exceptional price, and we sold a total of more than one hundred and twenty copies."
"I would like to sincerely and heartily thank EMF and all the friends who supported this project in various ways and prayed for us."
