Andy is heading up a new Presbyterian church plant in Lublin, the largest city in eastern Poland, where there is very little evangelical witness and Christians number less than 0.1% of the population.

He is married to Joanna, with three children – Józef, Jan and Emma. The family returned to Poland in early 2026, having lived, studied, and ministered for 15 years in the UK.

Andy was born into a family with a very mixed religious background, but as a teenager he began attending an evangelical church with his mother, and later, while volunteering at a Christian conference centre aged 20, gave his life to the Lord. The call to ministry came eight years later,and he then travelled to the UK with his new wife to begin seminary training, moving into ministry after that.

However, for both Andy andJoanna, their hearts lay in their native Poland, a largely unevangelised country, and when time was right, they moved back with their family, to begin a church plant.  This was a major move for the family, especially with 3 young children, but Andy said: ‘We believe the time has come. Our internal sense of calling is being affirmed by the way the Lord is opening doors that were previously closed, and this greatly encourages us. I’m also deeply grateful for how the Lord has used this season to further prepare and equip me to serve him in Poland.’

Significant challenges are presented to gospel work by the hold that Roman Catholicism still has on people, alongside a growing secularism. Andy recognizes that this is a long-term work, requiring much perseverance and faithful preaching of the Word, but he longs to see God’s church established and growing in this corner of Poland.
