José is the minister of an evangelical church in central Madrid. He is married to Anna.
José has been pastor of an Evangelical church in central Madrid since 1991. As well as pastoral responsibilities, he has a ministry to students and the wider church across Spain. José is the theological secretary of the Spanish Evangelical Alliance. He teaches ethics, apologetics and anthropology at the Protestant Theological College (Baptist) in Alcobendas (Madrid) and the International Theological College (Reformed) in Castelldefels (Barcelona).
José studied communication and theology in the universities of Madrid and Kampen in The Netherlands, where he met his wife, Anna, and where their daughter Lluviawas born. After studying with EMF in the UK, they went to Madrid, where they had three sons: Natán, Noé and Edén.
Anna studied fine arts (illustration) in Kampen, and has translated theological books into Spanish for a Dutch foundation (FeLiRE).
José has authored a number of books for the Spanish Inter-Varsity Press and the Evangelical Council of Madrid. Subjects have included forgiveness, reliability of the Gospels, occultism and popular culture. Since 2002 he has written a weekly article for www.protestantedigital.com, the main daily Spanish-speaking Evangelical website. José also blogs on contemporary culture from a Christian perspective at www.entrelineas.org.
