Manuel pastors the evangelical church in Almuñécar; he and his wife Alba are actively engaged in many forms of outreach including frequent contributions to radio and local TV broadcasts.
Manuel López Franco was born in Galicia. He studied at the Theological European Seminary (SEFOVAN) of Madrid in Spain and then in the UK with EMF.
In 2003, he was ordained as pastor of a church plant in Almuñécar, a small town with a population of thirty thousand people. It has a good number of foreign residents who live in the town part of the year. The town is located in the heart of Spain’s Tropical Coast, in the province of Granada; it is a popular tourist destination with many beautiful beaches. Málaga and Granada both have international airports, and each city is around forty-five minutes’ drive away.
Manuel’s work involves preaching, teaching and organizing evangelistic activities. Alba is also involved with this. From the beginning, the couple have run a bookstall at the town’s weekly market, and have been involved in conferences at the local arts centre. Manuel uses radio programmes, local TV, and the internet as tools for evangelism. He is also on the board of La Calle Recta (www.enlacallerecta.es), one Spain’s longest established evangelistic magazines.
