Europe Needs the Gospel
Description
In this webinar, we'll be inviting a panel of evangelical ministers and missionaries, all working in Nordic countries, to give us a view of the spiritual need of the countries, and the work of the gospel going on there.

The aims of the webinar are:

1)    To highlight the great spiritual need in the Nordic countries;

2)    To tell people about some of the things that God is doing in those countries;

3)    To encourage Christians and churches to think more about the Nordic countries, to pray more for them, and to do more to support gospel work in that part of Europe.

Special Webinars
Description
Hearing the testimonies of EMF missionaries and fellow workers on the front line caring for refugees in Ukraine, Moldova, Poland and Romania.

46 days after the start of the war in Ukraine, we hear the testimonies of workers right on the front line of supporting people whose lives have been turned upside down by the conflict. We will be talking to EMF missionaries and other workers located right on the edge of the warzone, in the West of Ukraine, and in neighbouring the countries of Moldova, Poland and Romania. And we will be asking them to tell us about:

  • Their experience of the last 46 days
  • How they have been able to help people, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
  • How they have seen the Lord at work
  • How we can pray for them.

EMF's Expanded Vision for Europe
February 7, 2022
7:30 pm
Main Speaker:
Andrew Birch & Darren Moore
Series
An Expanded Vision for Europe
Description
Mission Director Andrew Birch describes EMF's expansion of its vision for Europe

Europe is the spiritually neediest continent in the world, with relatively few evangelical Christians and gospel churches, and a lot of gospel-less religion and godless secularism. The Balkans and the Nordics are two especially needy regions. Europe needs more gospel workers and a renewed vision for the planting of new gospel churches. EMF is committed to expanding its support of gospel work in Europe, and is inviting churches and Christians to join them.

In this webinar, Darren Moore (Minister of Chelmsford Presbyterian Church and EMF Trustee) will be interviewing Mission Director Andrew Birch to discuss in more detail:

  • What is EMF's expanded vision?
  • What led EMF to expanding its missionary vision?
  • Are there particular regions of interest?
  • How will work be funded, and how does this tie in with existing work?
  • How can supporters get involved?

Proclaiming and Defending the Gospel: The Relationship between Evangelism and Apologetics
December 13, 2021
7:30 pm
Main Speaker:
Dr. Dan Strange
Series
Europe Needs the Gospel
Description
We'll be considering the place of apologetics in our fulfilment of the Great Commission, not as a substitute for gospel proclamation, but as a preparation for and partner of that proclamation.

Two Dangers to Avoid:

1)       The danger of thinking that apologetics is all that we need to engage in;

2)       The danger of not appreciating the great value of apologetics as part of our mission strategy

Some topics we're hoping to cover

  • What is the Church's mission?
  • What is evangelism?
  • What is apologetics?
  • How are they different?
  • How are they complementary?
  • What are the dangers?
  • What are the benefits?
  • What is the biblical basis of apologetics?
  • How to do apologetics well?

Our Panellists:

Dr. Dan Strange
Director, Crosslands Forum
Daniel Grimwade
Pastor of Dewsbury Evangelical Church, and chair of EMF Trustees
José Moreno Berrocal (with his wife Virtudes)
Pastor of the evangelical church in Alcázar de San Juan, and EMF Missionary

The Gospel in the Republic of Ireland

Series
Europe Needs the Gospel
Description
The Republic of Ireland continues to be one of the most spiritually needy countries in Europe, as the country becomes increasingly secular at the same time as moving away from its long-standing devotion to Roman Catholicism. Recent years have seen an increase in the number of church plants across the country, with initiatives such as the Cork-Kerry Project leading to several encouraging works. But what is the current situation, and what are the needs of those working for the gospel in the country?

In this webinar Phil Dunn, the EMF Northern Ireland Representative, will be interviewing 3 men all involved closely in church plants in the Republic of Ireland: Pastor Shane Deane of Passage West Baptist Church, Pastor Paudge Mulvihill of Calvary Church, Westport, and Rev. Alastair Dunlop of Howth & Malahide Presbyterian Churches. They will be exploring the recent history of the work of the gospel in Ireland, and describing the current situation.

Do join us to find our more about the cause of the gospel in the Republic of Ireland, and to understand how you can support the work more, whether in prayer, giving, encouragement, practical support, or even going!
